What is Starcart?
Starcart is your personal shopping partner, saving you time and money when shopping online. Starcart brings you millions of products from thousands of online stores in one shopping cart. Instead of you spending hours searching for products and the best deals, Starcart finds and buys them for you, always at the lowest price. Best of all, Starcart even offers you discounts on store prices - so you get your shopping for less than the cheapest store.
How to make an order?
You can browse Starcart.com's product selection like any other online store and add products to the shopping cart. When you are ready, we will find online stores for you where you get your products with the best price and fastest shipping. You pay the order to Starcart, and we do the shopping for you in to the online stores. After making a purchase, you will receive an order confirmation from both Starcart and online stores.
Who sells and delivers the products?
Starcart acts as your personal shopping assistant. We choose online stores for you based on where you can find the products you want at the best price and with the fastest delivery. Starcart does not sell anything itself – online stores are sellers and suppliers.
How do I pay for an order in Starcart?
Starcart gives you the option to pay for your order with an invoice, an installment plan, or a credit/debit card. With an invoice purchase, you get the benefit of a 30-day interest-free payment period. If you choose to pay in installments, you can extend your payment timeline up to as long as 36 months. Why is the price on the store receipt/invoice different from the price on Starcart’s delivery confirmation?
Starcart frequently offers discounts that are covered by Starcart itself. As a result, the price listed on the online store’s order confirmation may differ from the amount shown on Starcart’s invoice. Please note that the order should always be paid to Starcart, as Starcart pays the store the price set by them.
Why does my order include a strange email address?
We use an intermediary service to receive order confirmation emails from the stores. This allows us to verify that you are only charged for your orders once the merchant has shipped the product, particularly when installment payments or post-delivery invoicing are used.
Why did I receive a message that my order failed?
Sometimes it happens that an order fails, either in whole or in part. This is because orders are placed automatically in the online stores, and sometimes they do not work as expected. You can try to place the order again later. Please contact our customer service if the problem recurs. Common reasons for order failure include product going out of stock, price changing after submitting the order, or technical problems.
Delivery and returns
Where does Starcart deliver to? Who can use the service?
At Starcart you can buy products to be delivered in Finland. Starcart is available for private persons. Use of the service requires Finnish online banking credentials or a mobile certificate. Currently, we don't deliver to the Åland Islands.
How do I know when my order has been shipped?
The online store will send you an order confirmation and a shipping confirmation when the products have been shipped. You can track the shipment by following the online store's instructions, just as if you had placed an order directly through the online store.
How do I make a return?
You can return products to the online store, just as if you had bought the products directly from the store. Follow the instructions found on the website of the online store. Please note that returns must follow the return conditions of the online store.
How do I cancel an order?
Orders must be canceled following the cancellation process of the online store that is fulfilling the order. You can find detailed cancellation instructions on the store’s website.
I’ve made a return. When will I get my refund?
Once your return has been registered by the online store that supplied the product, the store will refund the amount to Starcart’s payment card. Starcart will then process the refund back to the payment method you selected during checkout. Refunds may take a few business days to complete.
Where is my order?
Unfortunately, Starcart cannot provide additional information about the status of your order beyond what is stated in the merchant’s email messages. Starcart does not handle shipping. For updates on your delivery, please contact the merchant directly.
Can I change the delivery address after placing my order?
Since Starcart does not handle shipping, we cannot change the delivery address for your order. Please contact the online store where the order was placed to check if they can update the delivery address.
Why can’t I select my preferred delivery location for my order?
The delivery method is determined by the online store. Your preferred location may not be available through the courier service chosen by the store.
How do I see my order on the store's website?
If the online store that is delivering your order has a login option on their website, you can log in to the store's website and see your order there. To log in, you will need to use the email address that was created for you by Starcart's relay service. You will see the address in the order confirmation sent by Starcart. You can get the password for your account by ordering a forgotten password from the online store's website. If necessary, please contact Starcart Customer Service for assistance. Remember that we forward all emails sent by the store to you, so you can also track the progress of your order from your email.
Billing
Why did I also receive an invoice from the online store?
Some stores send a receipt with the name "invoice". This is not an invoice from Starcart, but a receipt from the store itself. The order is only paid to Starcart. When you place your order with an invoice, Starcart's invoicing partner is Avarda.
Where can I find the Starcart invoice?

When will I receive my invoice from Starcart?
Your invoice should arrive within a few business days. We ensure that all charges from the merchant are properly processed to avoid potential issues. Depending on the merchant and the purchase, this process can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of business days. If you choose an installment plan as your payment method, the invoice will typically be generated about one month after the purchase.
Why can’t I use an invoice to order to an address other than my official one?
At this time, orders paid via installment or invoice can only be shipped to the official address registered with DVV. However, if you choose to pay with a card, you can have your order shipped to a different address.
How can I obtain a receipt with VAT?
Starcart is not the seller of the products but acts as a payment intermediary for online stores, which are the actual sellers. Because of this, Starcart does not handle VAT for purchases and cannot provide a VAT breakdown. Starcart functions similarly to payment service providers like PayPal or Klarna.
My order failed, but my account was charged. What should I do?
Occasionally, a payment reservation or charge may appear on your account even if the order fails. This reservation will be automatically released, and the funds will be returned to your account within a few banking days.
Why did I receive an invoice even though I returned the product?
When your return is registered by the online store, the store will refund the amount to Starcart’s payment card. Starcart will then process the refund to your chosen payment method. However, it may take a few business days for the refund to register, during which time the invoice may have already been issued.
Warranty and complaints
Who is responsible for product warranty and defective products?
The online store is responsible for the quality and warranty of the products. If you have a question related to the product warranty or another problem with the product, please contact the online store that sold the product. You can find the contact information in the order confirmation.
