Ydin poistetaan putken asennon säätämisen jälkeen asennettaessa se rinnakkaisliitäntään, terminaaliliittimeen jne., mikä mahdollistaa putken kutistumisen ja vesitiiviin tiivisteen muodostamisen. Eristeputki on valmistettu EPDM-kumista, joka ei sisällä klorideja tai rikkiyhdisteitä. Kuusi halkaisijakokoa kattaa 1000 voltin kaapelit sekä kupari- että alumiinijohtimet.
