Nature in the Kalevala

Finland's most renowned nature photographer Hannu Hautala gives with these photos his interpretation of the fauna and flora of the Finnish epic Kalevala. Docent Reijo Heikkinen, who is very familiar with the Kalevala epic, presents an extract of the Finnish folklore concerning nature and wildlife: ancient witticisms, sayings, phrases and wellerisms.
