Puunhalkaisuun muotoiltu taottu terä on hiekkapuhallettu ja suojattu kirkkaalla lakalla. Painava kirves, joka sopii parhaiten suurikokoisten puiden pilkkomiseen. Suora varsi, valmistettu hikkorista. Kirveenterä on taottu käsin ja valmistettu ruotsalaisesta kirvesteräksestä perinnetekniikalla, joka on peräisin vuodelta 1697. Terä taotaan lukuisilla lyönneillä, jolloin teräksen tiheys kasvaa ja terän kestävyys lisääntyy. Terässä on selvä karkaisuvyöhyke, jonka alueella terää voidaan hioa sen lujuuden heikentymättä. Varsi on valmistettu hikkorista ja käsitelty pellavaöljyllä.
