In the design of the Ekohytte Frost freezing toilet, special attention has been paid to energy economy. Optimized compressor technology and special thick insulation make the toilet very energy efficient. Ekohytte Frost's consumption is only 0.36 kWh/day, i.e. only half of the consumption of similar competing products. The thick insulation of the base of the toilet seat and the high adjustment feet enable the freezing toilet to be placed in a floor-heated space.

Ekohytte Frost's seat ring is insulated, unlike other manufacturers' products, in addition, below the seat ring in the frame runs a hot gas pipe that heats the seat ring and uses the compressor's waste heat. The power of the seat heating is not high, so that it does not disturb the freezing process, but it is sufficient to prevent the cold from being stored in the seat ring. Before use

1. After removing the product from the packaging, check that it is not damaged. Contact the dealer if I notice any damage.
2. Keep the device in the normal position for at least half an hour. Any oil that may have spilled into the pipe during transport then flows back into the compressor.
3. The device has adjustable legs. Adjust them before use so that the toilet is firmly in place horizontally.
4. The toilet seat is intended for compostable waste, including toilet paper. Do not put anything in there that is not compostable, eg garbage, bandages, chemicals, detergents, matches, ashes and cigarette butts.

Placement
The toilet should be placed in a warm interior. It can be used in underfloor heating because it has a thick base insulation and high legs. Heat increases the device's electricity consumption, so we do not recommend placing it in the immediate vicinity of a radiator or other heat source. The optimal room temperature is +10-+22 degrees, maximum +30 degrees. The toilet seat should be placed horizontally and adjusted to be stable with the help of its legs.

Use

1. Press the bottom of the bio bag on the bottom of the container and turn its ends above the container so that the container can be dropped onto the toilet seat
2. Check that the handle of the bucket is on the inside, so that the seat ring and the lid close well
3. Put the plug in the wall and turn on the toilet seat from the switch so that the green indicator lights up
4. Wait about an hour before using

Evacuation

1. When the bucket is about 2/3 full, the bio bag should be changed
2. Fold the upper edges of the bio bag into the container and lift the container off the seat
3. Compost the waste in a household or garden waste composter, where you have put a lot of litter before emptying the waste
4. Break the surface of the sack, e.g. with a stick, and cover with a layer of litter
5. Check if ice has accumulated on the edges of the bucket basin. Melt the ice if necessary and dry the walls.
6. Put the new sack in place

Use of bedding
There is no need to use bedding in a freezing toilet. Litter should only be added to post-composting.

Purification
Clean the Ekohytte by wiping with a damp cloth. You can use all general household cleaners. You can remove the dish from the seat and wash it in water. Dry it before putting it back in place. Do not use water to clean the back wall. Clean it once a year by vacuuming.

Longer breaks in use

1. Unplug the device from the outlet
2. Empty, clean and dry the container and cold sink
3. Leave the lid open
4. The device can be stored in an unheated space
