Description
Tiger I:n tuotanto aloitettiin elokuussa 1942 Henschel und Sohnin tehtaalla Kasselissa, aluksi nopeudella 25 kuukaudessa ja huipussaan huhtikuussa 1944 104 kuukaudessa. 1 355 oli rakennettu elokuuhun 1944 mennessä, jolloin tuotanto lopetettiin. Käytetyt Tiger I:t saavuttivat huippunsa 671:ssä 1. heinäkuuta 1944. Tiger I:n rakentaminen kesti noin kaksi kertaa kauemmin kuin toisen tuon aikakauden saksalaisen tankin.
