The Orka Hybrid Shad jig series designed by Markus Huovinen (Youtube: Kalastusta Pohjois-Savosta) combines the body shape of the legendary Orka Shad jig and the V-tail of the Orka Small Fish jig. Markus developed the Hybrid Shad jig during his ice fishing trip by cutting off the V-tail from the Small Fish jig and gluing it to the body of the Orka Shad. During the first days of fishing, the test model proved to be an extremely effective ice jig for large perch and zander. The Ruthless Ice Jig Head combined with the ice jig head Hybrid Shad swims like a balance jig, sliding sideways. Swimming imitating a wounded flounder irritates predatory fish into hitting the jig hard!

In summer fishing, the Orka Hybrid Shad works effectively with a Slim Keeper or Stand Up jig head on days when the fish strike the motionless sliding jig best.
