The stud body around the tungsten carbide claws is made of aluminium. This saves on weight. The tyre scale stops at 1170 g. The bike remains agile and sprinty. Studded tyres should be broken in on asphalt for approx. 40 - 50 km at lower air pressure. Sharp acceleration and braking should be avoided. Should you ever lose any studs, you can get your studded tyre back into form with appropriate replacement studs. These are also available in a set with special tools.
