CARAPAX JR. MTB Kids' Helmet

Just like its big brother: The CARAPAX JR. by ALPINA is inspired by the model for adults and offers optimum off-road protection for young mountain bikers. It impresses above all with its low weight and increased head coverage for more protection. Thanks to Inmold manufacturing, the helmet is very light. During this process, the upper shell is thermally bonded to the HI-EPS. This results in a solid connection that ensures a very stable construction. The lower edge of the helmet is protected by the additional EDGE PROTECT polycarbonate shell. The rear and the temple area of the bike helmet are deeper for increased head coverage. Large vents ensure optimum ventilation, anti-insect mesh keeps insects away from the head and the visor provides additional protection in the field of vision. With the RUN SYSTEM CLASSIC, which is combined with the height-adjustable Custom Fit, the bike helmet can be adapted to the head.
The Multi-Fit Light rear light can be retrofitted for added visibility.

Highlights & Technologies:

INMOULD:
The liner is fused with the outer shell under high pressure and strong heat for a lasting connection. This makes the helmet very robust and lightweight.

HI-EPS:
The inner shell is made from High Expanded Polystyrene with numerous microscopic air chambers that absorb impact energy in case of a fall.

CERAMIC SHELL:
A break- and scratch-resistant polycarbonate outer shell that is pressed onto an HI-EPS body under high pressure and with strong heat. Antistatic.

EDGE PROTECT:
Sharp edges are eliminated during the manufacturing process in order to protect your hands when using the helmet as well as to effectively protect your neck and shoulders in case of an impact.

RUN SYSTEM CLASSIC:
ALPINA's classic adjustment system allows for a precise adjustment by using the dial at the rear.

ERGOMATIC:
The strap closure with a red press button and a multi-step ratchet mechanism can be operated with one hand only. It won't become loose in case of a fall.

Y-CLIP:
Both straps can be easily adjusted at the ears, so that you can adapt the position of the straps to your individual head shape.

FLY NET:
A mesh fabric in the front vents serves as an anti-insect mesh. It prevents insects from entering the helmet and thus protects from insect stings without compromising on air flow.
