To ensure reliable ignition we recommend that you also replace the starter when you replace the lamp - except in the case of DEOS SAFETY.\n\nSwitching life from ? 10000 switching operations to ? 60000 switching operations in inductive mode.\n20% longer life with fluorescent lamps.\n\nReplace the starter each time the lamp is replaced.\n\n- DEOS ST 171 SAFETY, DEOS ST 172 SAFETY and DEOS ST 173 SAFETY are safety starters.\n- DEOS ST 171 SAFETY, DEOS ST 172 SAFETY and DEOS ST 173 SAFETY are designed to operate with conventional control gear (CCG) and low-loss gear (LLG).\n- They reliably disconnect burnt-out or faulty lamps under inductive or capacitive operating conditions.\n- They are instantly ready for operation when the red button is pressed in (there must be an audible click).\n- The automatic cut-out circuit protects the choke and the starter itself.\n- Their service life is four times that of conventional starters.\n- To ensure reliable ignition and operation the DEOS ST should be replaced after every four lamp replacements.\n- Temperature range for reliable cut-out: -20 °C to +80 °C.
