Børge Mogensen, who is now one of the best-known furniture designers from the golden age of Danish design, had only been employed by FDB Møbler for a few years when he designed his first children’s furniture.
His idea was that children would benefit from being surrounded by beautifully designed, high-quality furniture just as much as adults – an idea that seems just as modern and ground-breaking today as it did back in 1945.
Later, Hans Wegner also designed children’s furniture for FDB Møbler. FDBMøbler is now relaunching some of the family silver – this time for children.
