The spiciness that creeps over the medium level of the Barbados sauce is brought by the habanero, but the spiciness is even and does not stay burning for too long. The sauce can be flavored by e.g. garlic, honey, mustard flour, curry and turmeric. Despite the honey, the sauce is not sweet. Good uses for e.g. fish, chicken and rice dishes, but the sauce is suitable for use in all cooking. Those who are used to heat also use table seasoning, but a good start is to add it to the food little by little during preparation.
