Almost ten years ago, a version of Das Keyboard was released that had no key markings at all. This latest version has the same basic principle, but new features have been added to the model. Das Keyboard Ultimate 4 features Cherry's well-known MX Brown switches with a traditional-style click sound. The keyboard has a European Enter key, which is larger than the American equivalent.

On the right-hand edge of the keyboard is a dial that can be used to adjust the volume of the computer. To the left of this are the usual multimedia keys, which include play, pause, rewind and skip to different tracks. Next to all of these is a button to put the computer to sleep.

There are two USB 3.0 ports behind the dial, which can be used to turn the keyboard into a USB hub. This is especially useful in computers that do not have many connections. Das Keyboard 4 Ultimate has full support for N-key rollover, also known as 100% anti-ghosting. This means that the keyboard all simultaneous presses.

A rubber podium is included, which can be used to raise the keyboard to a more ergonomic operating angle. This is attached with magnets to the bottom of the keyboard. However, the features do not end there, as the platform can also be used as a 400 mm wide ruler. The keyboard includes an extra-long USB cable measuring two meters.
