The Sony ECM G1 is a compact microphone that only weighs 34g. That's why you can easily take it with you when you record on location. If you don't use the microphone, feel free to leave it on the camera. Thanks to the compact design, the microphone is never in frame while you record, even when you use a wide-angle lens. It also won't get in the way of the viewfinder of your camera. When you focus the lens, for example, the design reduces the sound of bumps and mechanical noise. This ensures clear audio recordings. You can record in windy conditions without interference thanks to the windshield. Connect the microphone via a 3.5mm jack or to a Sony camera with an MI shoe. Leave the batteries at home, because the camera powers the microphone.
