Välillä 20 - 60 säädettävä suurennuskerroin on hyvin yleinen esim. lintujen tarkkailussa. Jo pienin, hyvän valovoiman antava 20-kertainen suurennus tuo kohteet paljon lähemmäs kuin useimpien kiikareiden kertoimet.

Tarkennus on kaksivaiheinen: pyörittämällä taaempaa, vähän paksumpaa rullaa tarkennus säätyy nopeasti, ja pienemmällä saat hienosäädettyä sen kohteeseen.
