The DHR242 is an efficient hammer drill for the needs of a professional. The long-lasting and power-saving carbon brushless motor achieves an impact force of up to 2.0 J, and with the stepless speed control, the revolutions can be set to suit different jobs. The motor is placed in a vertical position, so the size of the machine remains compact. The machine has 3 different functions: drilling with impact, drilling without impact and spike function for e.g. removing tiles. SDS-Plus blades are suitable for the hammer drill and it is easy and quick to change them thanks to the quick-locking chuck. The Makita XPT system effectively protects the machine against water and dust even in the most demanding conditions. The maximum capacity when drilling into concrete is 24 mm, recommended blade size 6 – 12 mm.

Thanks to the vibration damping of the handle, working is very comfortable for the user. The LED light illuminates the work area, so you can work even in the dark. With the depth limiter on the side of the machine, you ensure that the holes are drilled exactly to the desired depth.

A vacuum cleaner accessory is included as standard equipment, which absorbs drilling dust very efficiently. The dust collection container is easy and quick to empty.
