Instructions for use Always read the instructions for use carefully before use, as well as warning texts and recommendations on the outer pack, bottles or sachets. Check that the pack contains the correct components. Warning Contains hydrogen peroxide and persulphates. The product can provoke an allergic reaction. Keep away from the eyes. If the product comes in contact with eyes, rinse them immediately with plenty of water. Do not use to bleach eyelashes and eyebrows. Ready mixed fluid must not be kept in closed bottles and re-used. Pressure can build up and the bottle may explode. If at any time during treatment you feel a smarting or stinging pain, or a rash appears, stop at once and rinse your hair immediately with water. Contact a doctor if necessary. Do not use any metal objects during treatment. Remove metal clips, pins and jewellery, and protect spectacles. Rinse your hair thoroughly after use. Use the protective gloves supplied. Keep out of the reach of children. Important recommendations Do not use this product if: - Your hair is dry, split, or in poor condition because of repeated chemical treatments or after you have used tongs. - Your scalp is sensitive, irritated or damaged, or if you have ever reacted before to a similar product. - Your hair has been treated with Henna or metal-based dyes. Carry out a sensitivity test 48 hours before use. See the instructions. Do not use shampoo on your hair before treatment. If your hair contains a lot of gel, mousse or spray, it should be washed. The hair must be completely dry before treatment. Do not perm your hair at the same time as the highlighting/bleaching treatment. Do not use on children. Do not use heat from a blower or hairdryer. Do not take a sauna during treatment. Keep the product away from clothes, floors, walls and other fittings. If you spill it, rinse it away immediately to avoid discolouration. Tips&Hints If you want to see what the result will be like before treatment, bleach a lock of hair as a test, following the instructions for use. Note the time, and you can see when you achieve the result you want. Darker hair needs more time for the effect to appear, and since the red and yellow pigments are stronger in dark hair, it is important not to interrupt the treatment too early, since these pigments are affected at the end of the treatment. The Highlight and Bleach cream may take on an “odd” colour during the treatment time. This is completely normal and will not affect the final result. If red or yellow shades appear, this means you have stopped the treatment too early or that the natural basis tone of your hair was too dark. The treatment can be repeated after two weeks (provided that your hair is in good condition) to achieve the desired result. If the hair is a very dark brown or almost black, treatment in two steps is recommended if you want a light blonde result. Give your hair two treatments two weeks apart (provided that your hair is in good condition). At each treatment lighten your hair two or three shades. Sensitivity test Take a 1ml measure of bleach powder and 1ml of water. Using the spatula, mix these in a cup to an even paste. Apply a thin layer of the paste to about 1x1 cm of the skin in the crook of your elbow. Do not let it touch any textiles. Wait 45 minutes. Wipe the paste away carefully with lukewarm water. If the skin reacts before the test is finished, stop the test at once, rinse the skin with lukewarm water and do not use this product. If the skin reacts within 48 hours, you should not use this product. Close the sachet carefully with adhesive tape after the test. This test does not provide a 100% guarantee, but is a good precaution to check for an allergic reaction. BLEACHING 1. Comb through your hair. The bleaching paste must be applied to dry hair. Remember to protect your clothes and shoulders with a towel etc. Put on the plastic gloves. It is a good idea to have a watch handy to check the treatment time. 2. Use a plastic or glass bowl for mixing. NB! It must not be made of metal. First pour in the Jojoba activator and then add the bleaching powder. Stir with the wooden spatula until the mixture has an even, creamy consistency. 4. First treatment: Apply the mixture as soon as it is ready with a brush or your fingertips. Begin where the hair is darkest, and then spread the paste evenly throughout the hair. Treating grown-out roots: Apply bleaching paste only to the newly-grown hair close to your scalp. 5. Treatment time: 15-45 min depending on your natural colour and the desired degree of lightening. See the recommendations in the table below. First treatment: To check whether the hair is sufficiently bleached: Moisten a cotton ball and wipe a lock of hair. If it is the desired shade, stop the treatment, but otherwise apply more of the paste to the test lock. NB! Be careful, and take frequent tests. The total treatment time must not exceed the recommendations given in the table depending on the natural colour of your hair at the start and the desired result. Treating grown-out roots: The same overall treatment time as the first treatment, but to avoid visible transitions in your hair when you treat the roots, comb through the applied paste on the top ends of your hair when you can see that they are almost the same shade as the rest of your hair, then stop the treatment. The time to do this is usually for the last 3-5 minutes of the total treatment time that suits your hair. 6. When you are satisfied with the treatment, add warm water and massage to form lather. Then rinse thoroughly with water. 7. Add the contents of the Aloe Vera pack and allow it to work for about 5 minutes. Then rinse all your hair with water. The Aloe Vera pack cools and neutralises your scalp. Your hair will now have an attractively lighter tone and will be soft and full-bodied, with a fine lustre and shine. HIGHLIGHTS using a hood 1. Comb through your hair. The treatment must be applied to dry hair. 2. Put on the plastic hood. Pull out the desired number of locks through the holes with the help of the hook on the end of the brush. Comb carefully through the locks you have drawn out, so that they are not tangled. Remember to protect your clothes and shoulders with a towel etc. Put on the plastic gloves. It is a good idea to have a timer handy to check the treatment time. 3. Use a plastic or glass bowl for mixing. NB! It must not be made of metal. First pour in the Jojoba activator and then add the bleaching powder. Stir with the wooden spatula until the mixture has an even, creamy consistency. 4. Apply the paste to the locks as soon as it s ready. Make sure you apply paste all the way round, or the result will be uneven. 5. Treatment time: 15-45 minutes depending on your natural colour and the desired degree of lightening. See the recommendations in the table below. To check whether the locks of hair are sufficiently bleached: Moisten a cotton ball and wipe a lock of hair. If it is the desired shade, stop the treatment, but otherwise apply more of the paste to the test lock. NB! Be careful, and take frequent tests. When you have finished your treatment and before you take off the plastic hood: Apply a little shampoo or balsam to the locks and rinse them with warm water. This will make it easier to remove the plastic hood. Take off the plastic hood and then rinse all your hair thoroughly with warm water. 7. Add the contents of the Aloe Vera pack and allow it to work for about 5 minutes. Then rinse all your hair with water. The Aloe Vera pack cools and neutralises your scalp. Your hair will now have an attractively lighter tone and will be soft and full-bodied, with a fine lustre and shine. HIGHLIGHTS: direct application 1. Comb through your hair.
