By taking inspiration from history and reimagining it in clever and playful ways, she has created a contemporary and atmospheric design for the Grand Cru Cottage series. Across the collection's plates, bowl, mugs and storage containers, Nordic nature meets classic Christmas motifs and vintage decorations in perfect harmony. Cosy autumn moments or the Christmas Day table would not be complete without the sweet scent of classic Christmas bakes. And that’s why Grand Cru Cottage naturally also includes a number of storage tins – four, no less – decorated, like the rest of the series, in Fam Irvoll’s motifs. This multi-pack includes two narrow, tall cake tins with a diameter of 10 cm and 11 cm and a height of 15 cm and 20 cm respectively, while series’ other multi-pack includes two wider, but slightly shorter, tins. Each tin has a unique decoration, but when put together clearly look part of a set, and the design also matches the entire Grand Cru Cottage service perfectly. The basic elements in the Grand Cru Cottage series are leaves and branches, berries, holly, birds, gingerbread hearts, glass decorations and acorns. These are combined in a unique composition on each piece in the dinner collection. Grand Cru Cottage is like a family whose members all contain the same graphic elements in the same colour palette. This gives a feeling of harmony throughout the collection, despite each piece being different.
