EcoPrima linseed oil

Linseed oil is an oil obtained by cold pressing from flax seeds, which can be used, for example, to impregnate wood, to make red mud paint and chalk putty, and to thin oil paints. Use EcoPrima Pine turpentine to clean the tools.

Areas of use: Pressure-impregnated or heat-treated wood, untreated wood surfaces, precious wood surfaces, etc. Not suitable for treating varnished or painted surfaces. Use Linseed oil outdoors, for example, to impregnate doors, window frames, garden furniture, etc. Indoors, Linseed oil is suitable, for example, for treating wooden surfaces in the kitchen (cutting boards, etc.) or for natural moisture protection of dark leather shoes. Linseed oil provides effective protection against moisture and dirt, as well as a linseed smell, especially indoors.

Instructions for use: Make sure that the wood surface to be treated is dry and the weather is not rainy. If necessary, clean the treated surface carefully. Remove possible mold with EcoPrima Mold Remover. Apply Linseed oil thinly in the direction of the grain of the wood, for example with a brush or a lint-free cloth. Apply Linseed oil especially carefully to the sawn surfaces and ends of the wood, where Linseed oil is absorbed most effectively. Allow the Linseed oil to absorb and after treatment, wipe off the excess, unabsorbed Linseed oil. Drying time, depending on layer thickness, conditions and wood quality, 1-3 days. Sand the wood surface between treatments. Depending on the intended use of the wooden surface, repeat the treatment 1-4 times.

NOTE! An easily flammable material, such as linseed oil-soaked cotton, can catch fire by itself. Painting materials must either be burned or stored in a container of water.

Since no preservatives have been added to EcoPrima Linseed oil, it is possible that blue mold will occur if the conditions are bad or the wood is defective.
