The fishermen of the Somali coastline had complained about foreign commercial ships that had trespassed to either dump chemical waste or carry out illegal fishing of massive scale. As a result of the ongoing civil war and lack of official coast guards, shipping companies from various countries took advantage of the situation. Local fishermen with simple small boats were unable to fish in their territorial water and were intimidated by the presence of the foreign ships with their illegal activities. Idris, Roble and their other fishermen friends had no other choice but taking matters into their own hands by confronting the foreign ships. It turned out that these ships were owned by wealthy and powerful businessmen who would not allow “pirates” stand in their way.
